Nick Lane FoxAdvisory Board Member

    Nick Lane Fox, currently a Partner in Bramham Park LLP, went to Eton College and the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, before embarking on a career in the Army and Financial Services. He speaks fluent French and conversational German.

    Passing-out top of his graduate intake at RMA Sandhurst, he served in the Household Cavalry for 10 years, spending a year on exchange in France and later overseeing the successful merger of the Life Guards and Blues & Royals as Adjutant of the new combined regiment. He commanded armoured reconnaisance and mounted ceremonial squadrons prior to being selected for Staff College.

    In 1997, Nick began his career in Financial Services, joining BWD Rensburg Ltd. as an Investment Manager and building his own private client base. Following BWD Rensburg’s acquisition of Dennis Murphy Campbell, he moved into financial services management and ran the formation and integration of the firm’s first London office.

    Elevated to the PLC Board as an Executive Director in 2002, Nick became Head of Sales, overseeing the front office. When Rensburg bought Carr Sheppards Crosthwaite from Investec, he ran the front office integration, unifying prices, IT systems, marketing, training and job titles. Meanwhile his duties as a PLC Director included liaison with shareholders and other fund managers as well as formulation of corporate strategy and examination of corporate activity opportunities.

    In 2008, Nick became actively engaged in managing his family’s Bramham Park Estate, a 2,265ha agricultural estate, in the Leeds commuter belt and has been occupied in the development of the events business (now including Bramham International FEI Horse Trials [45,000 people] and Leeds Rock Music Festival [70,000 people]) in addition to the reorganisation of 600ha in-hand farming operation and 450ha deciduous forestry enterprise.

    Nick joined the Advisory Board in 2010. While his main focus is on Private Client Wealth Management and Family Offices, he also brings a wealth of experience to the Sports Practice and across the broad spectrum of sectors covered by 33.
