Christopher De MattosChairman

Christopher de Mattos is a non-executive director of London-based investment manager RAB Capital.  He was a member of the team that founded the Company in 1999 and took it through a listing on AIM in 2004. He has a particular interest in corporate governance, chairs the INSEAD International Directors Programme Network and has been active in promoting improved governance in the hedge fund sector. He is a trustee of the Lord Kitchener National Memorial Fund and a jury member for the Robin Cosgrove Prize for Ethics in Finance.

Christopher previously worked as an analyst and investment banker with Smith New Court, Hoare Govett and ABN Amro in Europe and South America. He has invested in several small businesses in the UK and Europe and advises a number of start-ups. He is a member of the Imperial College selection panel for overseas students whose business ideas qualify them for sponsored visas.

Christopher is a Chartered Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Imperial College, London and an MBA from INSEAD.

Christopher joined the Advisory Board of 33 St. James’s in 2016 and was invited to become Chairman in 2023.
