Eva Suomi joined 33 St. James's in 2006. She is an experienced management assessment and executive search consultant with a track record of over 16 years.
Eva's consulting career began in 1988 at Heidrick & Struggles where she spent 14 years working on general management and functional management assignments across a range of industries, with particular emphasis on manufacturing. During the early 1990s, she developed and executed mandates in the emerging markets of Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and the Baltic countries seeking expatriate and local executives for newly established Western entities. From 1999 to 2002 she was based in Frankfurt where her clients also included European and US industrial companies.
In 2002, Eva established her own company, Eva Suomi & Partners. Based in Helsinki, she has continued to handle domestic and regional projects across a wide variety of industries. She has specialist expertise in the Manufacturing sector, particularly in the Automotive industry.
Prior to entering the consulting profession, Eva spent eight years with Nokia joining the marketing department of Nokia Cable Machinery in 1980. In 1984 she took over responsibility for the marketing department of the newly formed Business Unit for Robotics.
Eva holds a Doctor's degree in Philosophy from the Komensky University in Bratislava. She also studied as a post-graduate at the School for Business and Administration in Vienna and Helsinki. She grew up in Czechoslovakia, Germany and Canada and has lived in Finland for much of her adult life. She is fluent in German, English, Finnish, Russian, Czech, and Slovak.
